Arad's biggest success came about when he brought his superhero friends to life on television and in the movies. When he joined Marvel in the early 1990s, Arad encountered resistance when he decided to move the company into TV and film. At the time, the comic book market was sluggish and it seemed no one was interested in seeing Marvel characters on any size screen.
